I used a very different color scheme for this painting which I was able to paint fairly quickly at first. I had put layers of medium on the painting for texture, then turned the painting upside down and looked for shapes ...so here is what emerged. I drew the shapes in with vine charcoal, then blocked in colors. I added the details last.

This small painting was inspired by painting outside in the garden with the birds visiting all the plants. The garden was in full bloom with lots of colors and smells.

My dogs like to do many things including camping especially if they can go in style. One dog is out perhaps barking at the full moon while the other waits inside. I am think this might be in New Mexico with the coral landscape.
